Calculation of the resolution fees

  • The complainant pays the resolution fee based on whether he/she opts for either a one-mediator panel or a three-mediator panel.
  • The fees for mediation by a one-mediator panel are 800,000 won (exclusive of VAT), and those for mediation by a three-mediator panel, 1,600,000 won (exclusive of VAT).
  • When multiple domain names belong to the same respondent, mediation may be requested by a single application for multiple domain names. The complainant needs to pay 100,000 won per additional domain name in case of a one-mediator panel or 200,000 won per additional domain name in case of a three-mediator panel.
  • When multiple domain names belong to different respondents, mediation needs to be requested with a separate request or application for each of the domain names, and resolution fees should be paid separately for each domain name.

  • When the complainant has opted for a one-mediator panel, but the respondent opts for a three-mediator panel, the complainant and the respondent should equally share the difference

Refund of dispute resolution fees

  • The resolution fee is refunded when the mediation proceedings are discontinued before, but not after, the panel is composed because the complaint withdraws his/her request.
